April 21st 2006: Flying back to Europe
Last morning in Africa. It's my birthday!
The transfer from the hotel to the airport fast We also could go to the planes very quickly but had to wait then for a while to get our passports back. We made the planes ready and wanted to take off all together.
We taxied behind the follow me car to the runway. But because the view decreased we had to take off all under SVFR. Everyone was give a different height. We took off last and flew at 3500 ft to Monastir. Because of the better winds we landed third.

Flying to Monastir
We flew to Monastir because this airport is smaller than Tunis Carthage. We had good winds and landed third after we took off last.
We where able to refuel all the planes. Ruedi had one of the main wheels that didn't looked to good. So we helped to disassembling it. Luckily we had Bernard with us. He did the job. The result was, that from six screws only two where holding the wheel. So the screws had to be replaced. We lifted the plane several times.
After the reparation we quickly eat a sandwich and Jean explained the route we would fellow to Figari.

From Monastir to Figari
The flight from Monastir to Figari was great and took approx. tree hours. Over Sardinia where big CB clouds but luckily we could fly around. We did a photo shooting with G-DECO in front of the clouds.
All planes landed safely in Figari. After refuelling a taxi broth us to the nice hotel where we had in the evening a big goodbye dinner. We had a wonderful time, thanks to everyone.
