April 9th 2006: Visiting Calvi
In the morning we thought that we would depart soon for Tunis but however some problems occurred.
The flight permission to Tunesia was only good for Thursday. Pierre phoned several times with Alex, Karim and Tunisian officials. In the late morning we where told that we couldn’t start today. We then left together for a city walk in Calvi. We visited the Citadel and had lunch at the harbour. Pierre phone from the airport and told to get ready immediately because we have now the flight permission.
With full belly’s we drove back to the hotel to get our stuff and drove to the airport where we arrived at 14:30 and Alex already waited.

Preparation for the flight to Tunis
Alex was just refuelling the Bonanza and the English pilots where taking off for the first leg to Figari. Alex gave us quickly the flight books and explained in shorts terms the route to Tunis.
Ruedi and I made together a flight plan and took off at 16:20 after we waited for 20 minutes for several airliners to land.
